   HOT TAPS

  What is a Hot Tap?

Hot Tapping is the technique used to safely attach a branch connection while a system remains operational, in service and under pressure. This method is typically employed as a tie-in point for new piping; Hot Taps are also the first technique when performing a Line Stop (pipeline isolation).
